It always seems that for every action... every focus, there is an outcome we are hoping to achieve... working toward something... something great, something worthwhile, something that will bring us joy as we struggling to keep moving forward... hoping for the time when we can say... I did it... I'm done... a time of serenity and bliss for all of the hard work that we have put in... a time of closure...

We fail to realize that our time of closure will not be rewarded here on earth... There will be no time on earth when we are done... no time exists when we will have nothing left to give... nothing to contribute to a better and brighter future...

Each day brings us a new mission, a new adventure, a new task to add to our hope of the future... often leaving us with a feeling of defeat as we see the light at the end of our tunnel slipping further and further away... we never seem to reach this ending... this time of peace...

Yet, there have been so many endings that we’ve failed to celebrate… failed to give closure to a multitude of accomplishments… failed to see each day as a new beginning...

We must change our focus and celebrate the distance we've traveled in a day... a week... a year... a career... look back at where we started to see how far we have come... how much we have grown... how much more we have to offer...

It's time to celebrate life... celebrate each step toward a goal... celebrate daily achievements... celebrate each time you wiped your own knees after a fall then picked yourself back up again... celebrate YOU at the end of each day... then embrace each morning with the excitement of a new beginning...

When our time of closure does come... others should rejoice in our efforts and celebrate our contribution when we have nothing left to give... then we can look back… smile… and know that we gave our all...
